Boom is all hype and small substance. The only reason why millions of Indians watched that movie was because of the stripping scene of Katrina Kaif in Boom.
The flick has a trendy feel and attracting music score, but that's all about it. There is lot of exposure [ and raunch too, thanks to the horny character Boom Shankar played by Javed Jaffery ] that makes the flick unwatchable for the family crowd.
Zeenat Aman, who makes a return to silver screen after a long-lasting sabbatic, is worthless in the role of Conjured Mia's secretary who also does a jig for her chief at times. Padma Lakshmi is visibly uneasy being paired off along side Bachchan, while Katrina nicely bears a single look across the film. Madhu Sapre is just about ok.
